Kasthall is a world-leader in the design and production of high-quality carpets. Manufacturing still takes place in Sweden, based in “Tygriket” (eg. “Kingdom of Textiles”) in the municipality of Mark, halfway between Göteborg and Borås. Kasthall has long set itself tough environmental targets, and concern for the environment is one of the company’s core values. The company now has to find even more ways of making environmental savings while earning money.

It has held ISO 14001 certification for several
years. There has long been an environmental

commitment. For a little over six months Kasthall has also had Moa Löfgren. Filling a newly created
post of environmental manager, she is increasing
the company’s focus on environmental efforts.
Aided by MER and with the assistance of the auditor Martin Axelsson from Adrian & Partners,
she will make the opportunities for financial and
environmental gains more visible – primarily with regard to business travel.
